I created this custom painting on a surfboard for my niece’s 13th birthday. My boyfriend Joey fixed up the dings in one of his old boards for her.  I first sketched out the flowers on paper, then scanned them into the computer to come up with some placements for Rachel to choose from.  Once the design was finalized, I painted it onto the board with Posca paint pens and painting the fins as well.

 

I think the design is rad because the flowers are feminine, but not prissy. . They have an edgy look which won’t look lame when she’s shredding.
